Tatty and the family at Totara House have been eating roast wild duck for weeks ever since shooting season opened. They’ve had enough of duck and are after a change of poultry for the menu at dinner time. To satisfy the family, Tatty and his brother Jake went off across the paddocks with their guns and dog, on the lookout for pheasants. After a successful few hours, they’ve returned with this lovely selection of twelve cock pheasants, enough to please the most demanding kitchen tyrants (sisters, Clarice and Mavis) and whet the appetites of diners. But, first things first, and now the photo’s been taken it’s time to get started on the plucking!!
