Poetry and Song Lyric Competition for Schools


THE EBB AND FLOW OF THE KAIPARA

The Kauri Museum Poetry and Lyric Competition for National Poetry Day extends beyond one day of celebrating poetry. We invite entries from students of schools in the Kaipara and Northland districts on the theme ‘The ebb and flow of the Kaipara' we continue sharing the power of words to tell our stories.

21 August – 10 September Submit your entries
17 September Finalists announced
25 September Finalists reading/performance (optional)

PERFORMANCE AND PRIZE GIVING

Creativity will continue! If Covid-19 restrictions are still in place, we will most likely hold the open mic night performances online. Watch this space for more details.

WHEN: Friday 25 September, 6.30pm – 8pm
WHERE: The Kauri Museum, Church Road, Matakohe.
COST: Bring a plate of food to share for supper.
